Job Description
Send clearing instructions to the clearing agent and register shipments
Ensure accurate coordination and processing of import shipments including clearing instructions
Receive and record shipments in IFS upon delivery
Matching supplier invoices on arrival of goods and approve clearing agent invoices for payment
Reconciliation and payment of foreign suppliers
Liaising with various banking institutions to open Letters of Credits and Bills
Buy foreign currency cover
Ensure clearing of incoming funds are done timeously
Requirements
Grade 12 with maths and / or accounting
Bookkeeping diploma preferred
Import export and customs knowledge will be an advantage
Minimum 3 years relevant experience
Experience with accounts payable reconciliations and dealing with suppliers
Experience dealing with Trade Finance departments at banking institutions
Experience with completing clearance instructions for freight forwarders
Proficient in MS Office
Grade 12 with maths and / or accounting Bookkeeping diploma preferred Import, export and customs knowledge will be an advantage Minimum 3 years relevant experience Experience with accounts payable reconciliations and dealing with suppliers Experience dealing with Trade Finance departments at banking institutions Experience with completing clearance instructions for freight forwarders Proficient in MS Office
