We are seeking a technically strong IT Project Manager with a sharp eye for detail and a solid understanding of inventory and obsolescence management. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving and managing IT-for-IT change initiatives across the organization.
This role demands strong planning stakeholder engagement and organizational skills with the ability to manage numerous moving parts within a technically complex environment.
Lead the end-to-end delivery of assigned IT-for-IT projects ensuring on-time within-budget and quality outcomes.
Drive initiatives focused on IT obsolescence specifically Windows and Linux operating system decommissioning.
Produce monthly obsolescence reports for IT governance and oversight forums.
Ensure business continuity by proactively managing change related to IT projects.
Maintain clear communication with technical teams and translate project needs into actionable plans.
Manage risks issues and stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Remain adaptable in a dynamic and fast-paced project environment.
Strong technical documentation and project reporting skills.
Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
Highly organized with strong time management skills.
Confident communicator across technical and non-technical teams.
Demonstrated ability to prioritise and handle multiple mid-complexity projects concurrently.
Bachelor s Degree or higher in a relevant field.
Project Management Certification (e.g. PMP PRINCE2 or equivalent).
Minimum qualification: Matric.
5 10 years experience as an IT Project Manager with a proven track record in delivering IT infrastructure or obsolescence projects.
Strong technical understanding across ICT functions including infrastructure systems development and service management.
Working knowledge of Windows Server environments technical admin tools and cybersecurity fundamentals.
Familiarity with the systems development lifecycle (SDLC).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Word Excel PowerPoint Project and Visio.
Linux experience is a strong advantage.
Prior experience in financial services or similar regulated environments is advantageous.
