EXPERIENCE: 4-6 Years combined Development & DevOps experience

LOCATION: Hybrid: Midrand/Menlyn/Home Office rotation
TEAM: RetailerHUB/HST/Portale - Dealer Domain
Qualifications/Experience
- Degree in IT or relevant experience
- Qualification/Certification in backend development technologies
- 2 to 3 years Development Experience
- 2 to 3 years DevOps Operations Experience
Essential Skills Requirements
- DevOps
- Java/JEE
- RESTful APIs
- Terraform
- Knowledge of design patterns
- CI/CD pipelines with GitHub
- Databases/SQL (PostgreSQL advantageous)
- NoSQL (Elasticsearch advantageous)
- Unit testing tools (Junit/Mockito/etc)
- ORM tools (Hibernate advantageous)
- Spring Framework & Spring Boot
- Experience with Java application servers (Glassfish)
- Docker/Kubernetes (AWS/OpenShift advantageous)
- Production Deployment and Release Management
- Remedy/ITSM Tools

- Code versioning (Git)
- CloudWatch & Grafana
- SAP Hybris
- Apache Kafka
- Kibana
- Ansible
- Heartbeat
- Working knowledge of Cloud Architecture

Role Requirements
- Close cooperation to the business Team as well as IT Team.
- Clarification and documentation of the business requirements and functional description as well as initial design (Requirements analysis & Documentation)
- Preparation of business concept deepen existing requirements and changes to requirements specifying modelling prioritizing and validating functional solutions incl. alternative solution concepts or requirements models
- Clarification of open points with the Business Team during Refinement Meetings (Overall Business concept Process Analysis & process- and solution-design)
- Java development (analysis development and testing) on inter alia a platform for vehicle information management with extensive integration points
- Problem Management related to area of responsibility
- Development and maintenance on platform/application
- Meet with end users and gather requirements
- Participate in daily stand-ups and scrum ceremonies
- Propose and review system design and evaluate alternatives
- Review and present to Product Owners
- Develop systems solutions in line with quality and delivery requirements
- Preparation of system/technical documentation (as per ISO standards)
- Create required ITSM tickets to relevant support groups
- Manage One Candence Release deployments
- Manage and Update YPA & Product Depot
- 2nd Level Incident Management
- System audits/quality assurance
- System testing/parallel runs
- System implementation
- Process improvement
- Change Management
- User and KT Training
