Our client is a leading manufacturing company who is looking for a qualified candidate to join their firm.
Procurement
Create and execute a comprehensive purchasing and supply plan aligned with the company s strategic direction.
Anticipate future demand for products and services.
Negotiate supplier contracts and service agreements.
Explore and evaluate sourcing options to obtain the best value for materials and services.
Analyze pricing trends and assess their potential impact on the company.
Manage the procurement budget to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Organize relevant training for procurement staff to enhance capabilities.
Foster strong collaborative relationships with both existing and potential suppliers.
Develop a backup supplier network to minimize supply chain disruptions and dependency on a single source.
Collaborate with departments like Production Engineering and R&D to confirm that materials and services meet technical specifications and timelines.
Set key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure cost-saving initiatives.
Create strategies to monitor and improve supplier performance.
Participate in industry trade shows and conferences to stay informed.
Evaluate and update contracts to ensure optimal value.
Ensure procurement activities are secure stable and environmentally sustainable.
Sourcing
Benchmark and optimize the Company s supply chain operations to ensure smooth daily manufacturing processes.
Support the Costing Manager in enhancing costing accuracy efficiency and implementing site-specific cost strategies.
Stay informed about market dynamics and conditions affecting suppliers service costs and pricing that may influence the company s operations or strategy.
Regularly monitor and assess supplier performance using defined metrics.
Lead cross-functional teams to design and implement effective sourcing plans.
Delegate responsibilities to others during periods of absence to ensure business continuity.
Other Duties
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
A Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Engineering or a related discipline.
At least 8 years of experience in procurement or sourcing including a minimum of 5 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
Demonstrated success in strategic sourcing vendor negotiations and cost optimization initiatives.
Deep knowledge of global supply chains sourcing markets and procurement systems or technologies.
Strong leadership qualities analytical thinking and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Proven ability to manage projects effectively and collaborate across various departments.
Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills are advantageous especially for handling international supply operations.
