Job Description
We are a British-owned toy manufacturing company in Asia seeking a Production Planning Manager for our Vietnam team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production planning with a focus on maintaining high standards and timely delivery. Experience in the toy industry is a plus. We re looking for a flexible detail-oriented professional with excellent Excel skills strong communication abilities and cross-cultural awareness. The candidate should be eager to grow within the manufacturing industry.
Working time: Monday to Friday
Location: Vietnam - preferably Ho Chi Minh city with occasional travel required to Thailand and Cambodia
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders materials and capacity.
Collaborate with procurement and production teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
Monitor daily production activities and adjust schedules to meet targets and deadlines.
Analyze production data to optimize processes reduce bottlenecks and improve efficiency.
Create detailed reports and track key production metrics using advanced Excel skills.
Liaise with departments like quality control and logistics to ensure smooth operations.
Manage inventory levels and materials flow to minimize downtime and delays.
Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience in production planning in the same position preferably in the toy/ garment/ footwear manufacturing industry.
Proficiency in SAP for production planning and inventory management.
Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
Excellent organizational time management and multitasking abilities.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented with a focus on process improvement and efficiency.
Willing to travel frequently (Vietnam and overseas)
