Job Description
VMWARE Engineer 12 Month Contract Hybrid
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
- 7 years of experience as a VMWARE Engineer or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of VMWARE virtualization technologies and products
- A VCAP certification.
- Proven experience in managing and optimizing large and complex VMware environments.
- Experience with VMWARE vSphere vCenter and ESXi Knowledge of server hardware and storage technologies
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement VMWARE infrastructure for clients.
- Monitor and maintain VMWARE environment to ensure optimal. performance and availability Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VMWARE infrastructure.
- Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and provide technical recommendations.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless integration of VMWARE infrastructure with other systems.
- Stay updated with the latest VMWARE technologies and make recommendations for improvements.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to VMWARE infrastructure and processes Participate in oncall rotation for afterhours support as needed.
