Introduction
POSITION: Bus Body Designer (24 months contract)
INDUSTRY: Automotive Industry
SALARIES: Up to R25k p/m
AREA: East Rand Gauteng
SEND: nap
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Design create and maintain local design part and assembly drawings according to Company standards and Norms
- Investigate material specification available for the correct application
- Liaise with suppliers production and quality to identify mandatory processes methods and material requirements
- Identify solutions to improve production efficiency
- Use design software (Catia Inventor & AutoCAD) to develop models and drawings of new products
- Maintain existing engineering records and designs
- Perform design and verification of bus body parts
- Ensure that design output meets and complies to road traffic requirements for vehicles operated on South African roads
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications & Experience required:
- Grade 12
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Must be familiar with CAD 3D designing software Autodesk Inventor / Catia V5 / Solid Works
Package & Remuneration
SALARIES: Up to R25k p/m
