Job Description
Our client seeks a meticulous and adaptable Internal Auditor with a solid accounting background to join their team remotely for an initial 6-month contract.
- Conduct audits to verify financial data accuracy across multiple platforms
- Plan and execute financial compliance and operational audits to assess the effectiveness accuracy and integrity of:
- Financial records
- Internal controls
- Software integrations
- Regulatory compliance
- Operational efficiency
- Reconcile financial records to ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Identify control gaps risks and inefficiencies and provide recommendations
- Prepare detailed audit reports and follow-up documents
- Maintain open communication with the Clients management team
- Provide feedback for system and process enhancements
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. finance IT compliance operations) to understand data flows and business processes
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in accounting finance or related field
- CA(SA) or CPA certification (Preferred)
- 3-6 years experience in internal audit financial reconciliation or accounting ideally in technology/SaaS
- Hands-on experience auditing and reconciling financial data across platforms (e.g. NetSuite QuickBooks Xero SAP Stripe Deel PayFit or custom systems)
- Strong understanding of internal controls financial data flows and risk-based audit approaches
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with audit/data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau)
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) with strong attention to detail
- USA working hours
- Experience with cloud-based finance systems and integrated software (e.g. Salesforce)
- Understanding of subscription-based revenue models and deferred revenue
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple audits concurrently
- Process-driven mindset focused on system and workflow improvements
- Experience working remotely and asynchronously with management/clients
