We are rooted in our purpose of inspiring and enabling our customers to grow and sustain their prosperity.The Senior Legal Advisor is responsible for the conclusion and management of fit for purpose third party contracts for a digital first Bank including technology procurement distribution agreements as well as strategic partnerships for the Bank
The Senior Legal Advisor reports directly to the Chief Legal Counsel.
KEY RESULT AREAS
- Manage contractual negotiations with third parties with a focus on SAAS and technology contracts partnerships collaboration and distribution agreements on behalf of the Bank
- Formulate appropriate fit for purpose contracts to manage the Banks third party risk this includes updating and maintaining current standards
- Recommend processes workflows and applicable technology tools to increase efficiency in the business
- Manage third parties in the delivery of contracting or negotiating services
- Manage attorney panel
- Ability to solve problems that arise and provide holistic solutions to business stakeholders.
- Communicative and pro active.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- LLB Degree
- Admitted attorney in SA
- Extensive experience contracting with technology providers specifically SAAS cloud services commercial agreements where both Parties benefit from the engagement (strategic partnerships collaboration agreements)
- Ability to optimise processes to enable efficient and effective legal services to the business
- Appreciation for data and security requirements for the consumption of cloud services within a financial institution
