Working Hours: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect to join our team. This role involves creating and reviewing architectural designs for residential construction projects ensuring that designs adhere to relevant building codes and local permitting regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in U.S. residential construction with the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers engineers and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation and review of architectural drawings for residential construction projects ensuring accuracy feasibility and compliance with design standards.
- Ensure that all architectural designs meet the Southern California permitting regulations and local building codes.
- Work closely with project managers engineers and clients to refine and finalize project plans ensuring alignment with client vision and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Chief Architect software to draft design and update architectural plans for residential projects.
- Provide technical expertise on U.S. residential construction codes best practices and design standards.
- Review and modify designs based on client feedback and construction feasibility.
- Contribute to project timelines and coordinate with other team members to ensure timely completion of design work.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior architects or designers when needed.
Requirements:
- A senior-level architect with substantial experience in residential architecture and construction.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English essential for effective collaboration with clients internal teams and external stakeholders.
- High proficiency in AutoCAD and Chief Architect for design drafting and review.
- Deep understanding of U.S. residential construction codes building regulations and permitting processes.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to address design challenges and ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project managers engineers and other key stakeholders to deliver high-quality design work on time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with California architectural codes is highly preferred but not a hard requirement.
- Experience in both single-family homes and multi-family residential design.
- Knowledge of energy-efficient and sustainable design practices in residential architecture.
