Job Description
Recruiting on behalf of our esteemed client a leader in advanced vehicle engineering and innovation we are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to work on cutting-edge vehicle design projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical design projects focused on vehicle systems and components.
- Develop and evaluate 3D models detailed drawings and specifications.
- Conduct design reviews FMEA and tolerance analysis.
- Liaise with manufacturing testing and project engineering teams.
- Support prototype development and testing phases.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in vehicle design (automotive commercial vehicles or off-highway sectors).
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng required).
- Proficient in CAD software (e.g. CATIA SolidWorks Siemens NX).
- Strong understanding of materials manufacturing processes and GD&T.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
