Job Description
Join a high-performing finance team as a Financial Accountant in a dynamic services environment. We are seeking a qualified CA(SA) with a solid commercial background to step into a pivotal role as 2IC to the Group Financial Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Group Financial Manager with strategic and operational finance duties
- Oversee and manage foreign exchange transactions
- Prepare and review accurate monthly quarterly and annual financial reports
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and drive month-end close processes
- Prepare and monitor budgets and forecasts
- Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital optimisation
- Supervise the Accounts Payable function
- Lead and develop a small finance team promoting best practice and accountability
Minimum Requirements:
- CA(SA) qualification
- Minimum of 3 years commercial experience post-articles
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables lookups data modelling etc.)
- Exposure to Sage X3 or a comparable ERP system
- Strong technical accounting and analytical skills
- Proven experience in a services-based industry preferred
- People management experience able to lead mentor and drive performance
