Job Description
This role is based in Paarl Western Cape.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Finance Manager your core duties will include:
- Managing the full accounting function up to trial balance.
- Processing and reconciling accounts payable and receivable.
- Handling customer credit applications and debtor management.
- Managing payroll transactions and the related reconciliations.
- Preparing and submitting statutory returns and payments.
- Daily cash flow planning and monitoring.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closings including management accounts.
- Maintaining the general ledger and chart of accounts.
- Performing inter-company reconciliations and maintaining the fixed asset register.
- Supporting budgeting forecasting and cost analysis initiatives.
- Overseeing stock management and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Assisting with audits and various ad hoc accounting projects.
Requirements:
- BCom Accounting.
- Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles.
- Proven experience in a similar accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and statutory regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail time management and communication skills.
