Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Accountant to join their finance team.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about maintaining strong financial controls managing day-to-day accounting functions and supporting strategic decision-making through accurate financial reporting.
This role is based in Paarl Western Cape.
Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Finance Manager your core duties will include:
Managing the full accounting function up to trial balance.
Processing and reconciling accounts payable and receivable.
Handling customer credit applications and debtor management.
Managing payroll transactions and the related reconciliations.
Preparing and submitting statutory returns and payments.
Daily cash flow planning and monitoring.
Assisting with month-end and year-end closings including management accounts.
Maintaining the general ledger and chart of accounts.
Performing inter-company reconciliations and maintaining the fixed asset register.
Supporting budgeting forecasting and cost analysis initiatives.
Overseeing stock management and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Assisting with audits and various ad hoc accounting projects.
Requirements:
BCom Accounting.
Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles.
Proven experience in a similar accounting role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and statutory regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
Excellent attention to detail time management and communication skills.
