As Security Risk & Electronic Supervisor you will provide services as required and your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Safety Health and Environment
- Support the Safety & Health principles following operational risk management rules regulations procedures and directions.
- Take personal responsibility for self and others safety to prevent harm and fatalities.
- Support a safe and healthy workplace culture.
- Escalate specific risks in the workplace using.
- Maintain good housekeeping and escalate.
- Active participation in SLAMs HPHs relevant Risk Assessments and close-out of Safet Actions.
Performance and Delivery
Specialised Security Management Services
- Serve as the subject matter expert on electronic security systems.
- Manage the service level agreement with the outsourced alarm service provider.
- Oversee the service level agreement with the outsourced CCTV service provider.
- Administer the service level agreement with the outsourced access control/time and attendance system service provider in support of HR objectives.
- Manage security control room operations and personnel effectively.
- Supervise the permit office and personnel.
- Oversee the computerized security and emergency incident logging and management system.
- Exercise budget and cost control for your area of responsibility.
- Manage health and safety within your area of responsibility.
- Liaise with Senior Management HOD and Line Management regarding security system matters.
- Conduct audits and surveys to identify suitable electronic security measures as needed.
- Project manage the installation of electronic security and time and attendance systems.
- Compile security management reports for your area of responsibility.
- Render and manage specialist security services including riot control VIP protection high-risk escorts tactical response and investigations.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all local requirements as a baseline for site performance.
- Follow all relevant Anglo American compliance standards related to safety and security ensuring team compliance.
- Abide by all applicable regulations policies and procedures acting at the next higher level when necessary.
This role is in the SHEPS at a Band 7 level reporting to the Section Manager Security.
Qualifications :
- Grade 12
- Relevant qualification in Security Management or Police Management (NQF5)
- Registered with PSIRA as a Grade A Security Officer
- Electronic security systems training courses (Preferred)
- Voluntary Principles on Human Rights and Security Course (Preferred)
- SA Drivers License Code B
Experience
- 5 Years Security Supervisory/Management experience.
- Experience in managing control rooms technical services departments/contractors.
- Acquired experience in security management processes specific to the mining industry.
- Knowledge of control room operations and electronic security systems.
- Working knowledge of Criminal Procedures Act and Mine Health and Safety Act.
- Knowledge of investigative processes.
- Knowledge of industry best practice with regards to electronic security systems.
