POSITION: Contract until December 2027
EXPERIENCE: 6-8 Years related working experience
COMMENCEMENT: 01 August 2025
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
At least 6 years of experience in backend software development and/or DevOps engineering
Proven experience working in cloud environments (Azure or AWS)
Experience with high-throughput low-latency systems and microservices-based design
Proficient in one or more of the following: Kotlin Java JavaScript Python Csharp
Experience developing backend applications and services
Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS
Familiar with Microservices Cloud or Container Architectures (e.g. Docker)
Experience using Kubernetes for container orchestration
Architecture and Interface Design experience
Strong communication and team collaboration skills in distributed environments
Agile methodologies experience (Scrum Kanban)
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub GitLab Terraform Ansible
Fit-for-purpose mindset solutions must align with business objectives
Experience coordinating between development and support environments
Requirements management including:
Eliciting simplifying and documenting requirements
Communication planning monitoring
Business case assistance and risk management
Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter
Experience with event streaming platforms (e.g. Apache Kafka)
GitOps tools (e.g. ArgoCD Flux)
Helm for Kubernetes deployment
Working knowledge of data modelling and databases (e.g. Postgres Influx)
Security best practices in cloud environments
DevOps responsibilities and participation in standby support roster
Familiarity with ITIL processes (IM CM PM) and certification
Understanding of BI tools is an advantage
Run business-critical cloud services in line with operational hours in a shift model
Use automation tools to monitor software reliability and system health
Manage incidents and changes as per SLAs
Collaborate in a cross-functional team to enhance services throughout the SDLC
Manage and deliver technical projects or processes
Work within Agile frameworks managing assigned user stories
Support the Product Owner in shaping and evolving the product roadmap
