Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
Production-focused individual with the ability to lead and drive the production team throughout various production levels from receiving to dispatch required to join a market leader. This analytical individual with strong interpersonal and leadership skills will be required to:
Manage Production Output
Achieve production targets
Manage and lead the production team
Execute the business objective of buying good-quality materials
Ensure that the sorting process is strictly adhered to according to company standards
Ensure that the baling process is adhered to
Ensure that all tasks are executed in accordance with all health and safety regulations
Ensure that the company Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to at all times
Ensure that there is a full complement of staff on each shift daily
Ensure that all the staff members have all the required training for the tasks they perform
Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained as set out in the housekeeping plan
Ensure accurate reporting of all incidents and accidents on a shift basis
Ensure that all contractors involved in any activities on site report to the Production Superintendent before he/she start any activity
Assist in maintaining the Behaviour-Based Safety system by correcting and advising on any substandard acts conditions and systems
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Matric is a minimum requirement
Related tertiary qualification would be an added advantage
Minimum 5 years previous experience in a production manufacturing or construction environment at a senior level
Strong computer skills required
