Introduction

FINANCIAL & INVENTORY SYSTEMS CONTROLLER

(ENGINEERING / RAIL / LOCOMOTIVE INDUSTRY)

ROSSLYN PRETORIA GAUTENG PROVINCE

Our client is seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical individual to join their team as a Financial & Inventory & Systems Controller. Incumbent will be responsible for managing and reconciling inventoryensuring accuracy in job cards handling financial accounting tasks and overseeing system integrationprocesses for various sites.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Matric
  • Degree in Accounting / Management Accounting(ESSENTIAL)
  • Previous experiencein Inventory Management and financial accounting(ESSENTIAL)
  • Experience & exposure within the rail / locomotive / engineering industries(ADVANTAGEOUS)
  • Must have excellent communication skills in English with strong analytical & reporting abilities
  • Highly experienced in Inventory Management Financial management accounting tasks
  • Computer proficiency:MS Office programmes & MS Excel (Advanced)
  • Proficient on Sage Evolution & Fusion Systems(ESSENTIAL)
  • Duties include:Conduct monthly cycle counts & stock adjustments follow up on shipments & ensuring accurate processing & delivery site enquiries manage shipment discrepancies processing inventory adjustments & analyse POs accurate integration & completion of job cards; reconcile workshop & part sales revenue to Cost of Sales & allocate freight costs; manage IT-related tasks & handling laptop orders & repairs
  • Own reliable vehicle & valid Drivers Licence (no endorsements)
  • Position is office based

JOB FUNCTION AND KEY PERFORMANCE DUTIES:

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Incumbent will be responsible for managing and reconciling inventory
  • Ensure accuracy in job cards
  • Handling financial accounting tasks as assigned
  • Overseeing system integration processes for various sites

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct monthly cycle counts and stock adjustments
  • Follow up on shipments ensuring accurate processing and delivery
  • Handle site inquiries and manage discrepancies in shipments
  • Process inventory adjustments and analyze open purchase orders (POs)
  • Ensure accurate integration and completion of job cards on Fusion and Sage Evolution
  • Reconcile workshop & part sales revenue to cost of sales and allocate freight costs
  • Manage IT-related tasks including liaising with Netwide and handling laptop orders and repairs

Qualities for successful candidate:

  • Strong analytical mindset with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with a team-oriented attitude
  • Proficient in inventory management systems and Sage Evolution (or similar systems)
  • Advanced Excel skills and good time management abilities
