Job Description
To assist a qualified artisan in the maintenance of all machinery and equipment within the AFGRI Animal Feeds business unit.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12
- 1-year practical maintenance experience within a feed factory environment
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Assist with maintenance tasks provide recommendations for repairs or replacements and ensure machine availability.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic working area clean tools and store them properly.
- Adhere to scheduled working hours and work overtime as needed.
- Follow safe working procedures wear PPE report unsafe conditions and comply with safety regulations.
- Monitor and prevent food safety risks maintain cleanliness and adhere to cleaning programs.
- Participate in HACCP team activities adhere to bio-security programs and ensure tools and work areas are clean.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/ COMPETENCIES
- Hands-on abilities for general and building maintenance
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Understanding general maintenance
