United Exports is looking for a Technical Liaison to join our team in Paarl. The purpose of the role is to enable sales through ensuring that all due diligence with customers are in place for sales to take place without any restrictions. Managing the customer claims process efficiently to ensure that only legitimate claims are authorised.
Key Performance Outputs
- Invest in customer relationship management with the account managers to gain an in-depth understanding of the customer requirements
- Due Diligence packs are to be requested from each client and completed prior to the season.
- Liaise with Sales team and product allocator on which growers and varieties are approved to supply which customers.
- Collate and check all documents and/or information requested are correct before sending it to the customer.
- Communicate approved Due Diligence packs with relevant teams and ensure the client access list is updated on Datahive and Netsuite.
- Obtain all customer specifications and ensure each customer s specifications is updated on Datahive. All relevant parties need to sign the specifications.
- Handle all customer queries relating to technical requirements and product quality timeously and effectively.
- Follow-up on outstanding QC feedback from customer within 48 hours after arrival.
- If no feedback is received within 48 hours a flag should be sent to customers and relevant account manager.
- Review and scrutinize all information provided on each QC report to ensure it is correct according to UE s system. The colour score should also correspond to their initial customer specification.
- Ensure sufficient information is provided especially in the case of Amber & Red arrivals.
- Follow-up with customer where information is not correct and/or insufficient including photos (showing quality issues as well as relevant PUCs).
- Work closely with the Key Account Manager to ensure client accounts are managed optimally.
- Review any temperature alerts flagged by the Cold Chain Controller prior to arrival at the client and inform relevant teams when receiving QC gradings.
- Provide feedback to relevant growers by e-mailing each QC report within 48 hours of receipt and provide additional information if/and when necessary or requested.
- Ensure all QC feedback is captured according to the R.A.G system on the ERP system. This must be done accurately and timeously; this ultimately impacts how grower payments are processed.
- Follow-up on any downgraded or re-allocated stock and provide further feedback to grower and update the system accordingly.
- Obtain all dumping certificates and keep on file.
- Ensure all QC reports and supporting documents are adequality filed on a case level on the ERP system.
- Inform teams on regular basis of quality trends to enable informed decisions for stock management.
- Ensure all packhouses producers and relevant team members are updated with most recent specifications and customers technical requirements.
- Requests and keep all customer specifications on file and send through to the quality coordinator to be updated on relevant data sources.
- Perform other duties if and when requested by management.
Requirements
Job Requirements
- Senior certificate / grade 12 / matric.
- Suitable tertiary qualification.
- Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in similar role.
Functional/Technical
- Technical knowledge of the fruit industry.
- Market requirements knowledge and some degree of product knowledge
- Computer literacy: MS Office (Excel Word PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in using Netsuite or similar ERP systems.
