Job Description

Location: South Africa Permanent Position


Are you detail-oriented methodical and passionate about delivering high-quality data that drives operational decisions We are looking for a SAMP Data Capturer to join our team and support the effective use of the SAMP platform through accurate timely and insightful data capture and validation.

This essential role is ideal for a highly organised individual who enjoys working with systems supports client operations and is eager to make a meaningful impact through data quality and system efficiency.


Key Responsibilities


  • Capture verify and maintain client data on the SAMP system to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Support the configuration and setup of SAMP at client sites including:
    • Functional Location (FL) & Inspection Location (IL) setup
    • Dashboard configuration check sheet creation QCP creation and risk assessments
    • Capture of inspections and dynamic image integration
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve data discrepancies and ensure data reliability
  • Respond promptly to support requests and resolve tickets related to data entry and data quality
  • Assist in developing and maintaining simple user guides for accurate data input
  • Conduct basic training sessions for users to improve understanding of data procedures and platform functionality
  • Monitor data records and recommend process improvements based on findings
  • Support client-specific business processes through aligned and accurate data entry
  • Promote and uphold safety procedures especially when visiting client sites
  • Follow and help communicate company HSEC plans to ensure safe and efficient data management practices


Collaboration Network


  • Reports to: SAMP Operations Lead
  • Collaborates with: Service Engineers Graduates Clients
  • Maintains strong relationships with stakeholders to verify collect and maintain data integrity


Requirements

Minimum Requirements:


  • Matric / Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies
  • Comfortable using data systems spreadsheets and digital platforms for data entry
  • Basic understanding of data validation and integrity checks
  • Excellent organisational skills and a reliable deadline-driven work ethic
  • Effective problem-solving abilities and a willingness to take initiative


Technical Skills:


  • Proficient in MS Excel Google Sheets and other data platforms
  • Familiarity with MS Office Google Suite and basic project tracking tools
  • Understanding of engineering or technical data is a plus but not required

Requirements: BEng or BSc Degree or equivalent in electrical / mechanical engineering Professionally registered engineer certification will be advantageous. >= 15 years of rotating equipment industry experience with a track record in solving complex problems on various types of rotating equipment sets such as steam turbines, gas turbines, pumps, compressors & reciprocating engines. Proven track record in effective problem-solving capability within the various industries through project references Extensive experience in rotor dynamics and vibrations. Experienced in rotating equipment design and engineering analysis (CAD, FEA etc.) Proficiency in relevant software and tools for data analysis, planning and reporting. MS Office / Project / Google Skills & Knowledge: Design Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. Engineering and Technology Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services. Mechanical Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Administrative Knowledge of administrative and drawing office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and workplace terminology. Building and Construction Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures such as highways and roads.
