WHAT WILL BE YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design implement and maintain Azure infrastructure and services.
- Develop and manage Terraform scripts for infrastructure as code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to applications with cloud infrastructure.
- Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure and application setups.
- Develop and deploy containerised applications using Docker.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior team members.
- Stay updated with the latest Azure and Terraform advancements to ensure best practices are followed.
Minimum Requirements
WHICH QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE DO WE NEED FOR THE ROLE
- Relevant IT or Computer Sciences tertiary degree.
- Relevant IT certification.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the IT sector with some responsibility for managing large cloud/hybrid environments.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code scripting.
- Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure and services offered.
- Advanced experience in implementing and administering Microsoft Products including Active Directory DNS and DHCP.
- Proficiency and C# programming languages.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools in Azure for performance optimisation.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter
ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Knowledge of GitOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Kafka streaming and its integration within enterprise systems.
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
- Flexibility to take up different tasks in the project.
- Ability to work interdependently and to submit deliverables on time and with excellent quality.
- Willingness to mentor and coach junior team members.
- Willingness to travel internationally if required.
