Job Description
- Transform complex business and technical requirements into comprehensive actionable test plans and clear acceptance criteria. This includes understanding and challenging the requirements to ensure clarity and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain high-quality manual test cases and detailed execution plans.
- Execute rigorous tests precisely document results and meticulously raise defects.
- Collaborate closely with developers Business Analysts (BAs) and report builders to refine solutions ensuring continuous alignment between the intended outcome and the final implementation.
- Drive QA feedback loops throughout the development lifecycle with a strong focus on early defect detection and efficient resolution.
- Take ownership of regression testing cycles provide support for release planning and consistently ensure high quality across all system updates.
- Champion a robust culture of quality data precision and test accountability within the team.
- 3-8 years of experience working with data with a strong emphasis on testing and documentation.
- Possess a deep understanding of the test lifecycle defect management and requirement traceability.
- Able to break down complex workflows into clear step-by-step test plans and effectively identify edge cases.
- Collaborative working style with experience engaging cross-functional teams.
- Advanced skills in Excel and documentation platforms (e.g. Confluence Word).
- Experience or formal training in software QA.
- Exposure to financial services investment operations or reporting/data-driven environments.
- Familiarity with SQL for data validation and ad hoc querying and an understanding of Agile delivery practices and test coverage metrics.
- Knowledge of BI tools like Power BI and experience with testing and reporting within those contexts.
