Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Recruitment Consultant with a strong generalist background capable of establishing and growing a desk independently. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of end-to-end recruitment experience with a proven track record in business development client acquisition and delivery across multiple industries.
This is a high-impact role requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution. You will be expected to hit the ground running leveraging your network expertise and sales acumen to build a sustainable pipeline of clients and candidates.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage a 360 recruitment desk from scratch (generalist scope)
- Identify and engage new business opportunities through proactive business development
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Conduct full-cycle recruitment: sourcing interviewing shortlisting client engagement and placement
- Develop and execute talent attraction strategies across various channels
- Negotiate terms of business with clients and ensure service excellence
- Provide market insights and recruitment advice to clients and candidates
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM/ATS system
- Meet and exceed performance targets and KPIs
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years experience in recruitment with a strong generalist background
- Demonstrated success in starting and growing a recruitment desk
- Solid experience in business development and client relationship management
- Proven ability to consistently achieve billing targets
- Relevant Diploma or Degree is advantageous but not essential
- Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated entrepreneurial mindset and highly results-driven
- Strong knowledge of the South African job market and recruitment landscape
