Job Description
About the Role:
Our client is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Financial Manager to lead financial operations and support long-term growth. This pivotal role is focused on driving strategic financial planning and ensuring alignment between financial performance and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage day-to-day financial operations.

Lead strategic financial planning and forecasting efforts.

Develop and maintain robust financial models.

Ensure alignment of financial outcomes with the clients overall business strategy.

Deliver actionable insights that support executive decision-making.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

Hold a BCom/BCom Honours degree (preferred) or an equivalent qualification.

Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the short-term insurance sector.

Possess strong knowledge of insurance finance including underwriting claims reserving and capital.

Demonstrate advanced expertise in budgeting and strategic financial planning.

Are well-versed in IFRS 17 and other key financial reporting standards.

Understand tax treasury reinsurance and investment finance operations.

Excel in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.

Are multilingual (an advantage).

Have a valid drivers license and reliable transport.
