The IM Enterprise Architect Applications & Data is responsible for defining and governing the enterprise applications and data architecture ensuring alignment with business objectives operational needs and industry best practices. The role focuses on enterprise-wide application strategies data governance integration frameworks and business intelligence solutions to enable data-driven decision-making and process automation. The incumbent ensures that applications and data management strategies are scalable secure and optimized to support business operations in the mining industry.
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Enterprise Applications Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and maintain the enterprise applications architecture framework ensuring alignment with business priorities and future scalability.
- Data Management: Establish and oversee data management frameworks ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Application Integration & Interoperability: Ensure that enterprise applications including ERP BI and analytics platforms are seamlessly integrated across business units.
- Builds the EA value proposition: Positioning the EA practice as an internal management consultancy offering services and skills to support the development and execution of business strategy.
- Develops and applies minimal viable architectures: Includes a set of standards reference architecture patterns principles and guardrails through the EA governance model
- Technology Selection & Standardization: Evaluate and recommend enterprise applications databases and analytics tools that enhance efficiency and innovation.
- Cloud & On-Premise Application Strategies: Define and implement strategies for cloud migrations hybrid environments and SaaS adoption.
- Business Intelligence & Advanced Analytics: Oversee the architecture of BI platforms data lakes AI-driven analytics and reporting dashboards.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure applications and data solutions comply with cybersecurity data governance data privacy and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration with IT & Business Leaders: Work closely with business units CIO IM Portfolio & Architecture team and IT security teams to drive application and data modernization efforts.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management: Support digital transformation initiatives by communicating
- architectural best practices and ensuring business adoption of new technologies.
- Technical Guidance: Collaborates with delivery teams to ensure consistency with the enterprise architecture as well as to leverage shared technologies tools and processes that impact speed to value and time to market.
- Ensure alignment with emerging technologies and possible recommendation of new technologies
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in business computer science data science engineering system analysis or a related field of study or equivalent experience.
- Masters degree in business computer science data science engineering system analysis or a related field of study or equivalent experience( Desirable)
Certifications
- Enterprise Architecture Frameworks
- Data Management & Governance
- Valid EB/Code 08 drivers licence
- Cloud-related Architecture certificationsIT Governance & Security Certification (Desirable)
Experience:
5-7 Years of experience in
- Enterprise Applications Architecture Data Management or Digital Transformation.
- Extensive experience in defining application landscapes managing enterprise data frameworks and ensuring system interoperability.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in cloud migrations ERP implementations and enterprise-wide data initiatives.
- Proven experience in application rationalization modernization and automation in a large enterprise.
- Hands-on experience managing technology vendors contracts and system integrators.
- Experience working with regulatory and compliance requirements for data security and privacy.
- Mining industry experience preferred with a strong understanding of operational and business applications.
Technical Knowledge
- Deep understanding of data governance data privacy and security best practices
- Expertise in ERP systems CRM and Business Intelligence Platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud computing and hybrid application architectures
- Strong background in API management middleware platforms and system integrations.
- Experience in enterprise-wide application modernization automation and AI/ML-driven analytics.
- Knowledge of data lakes data warehouses and real-time analytics frameworks.
- Proficiency in DevOps methodologies CI/CD pipelines and microservices architecture.
