Job Description
Logistics Controller Durban R35000-R39000 CTC
(Basic salary medical aid provident fund)
Looking for a dynamic and proactive Logistics Controller with strong background in logistics coordination fleet management and store controls with the ability to lead and implement effective systems in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- A relevant tertiary qualification in logistics operations or supply chain management will be advantageous.
- A minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role preferably within a technical or fleet-based environment.
- Must possess a valid unendorsed drivers licence.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with a focus on process adherence and document control.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel for reporting and inventory tracking.
- High attention to detail and a quality-driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the tools and consumables store ensuring accurate tracking and availability of inventory.
- Implement and maintain robust stores control procedures to support operational efficiency and accountability.
- Oversee and coordinate transport logistics including driver scheduling and allocation.
- Ensure full legal compliance and oversee the maintenance and operational readiness of the Durban fleet.
- Handle accident investigations reporting protocols and manage insurance claims in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Supervise yard security and maintain a professional relationship with the contracted security service provider.
