Duties and responsibilities:

Act as stand-in for Housekeeping Managers manage and administer the required tasks.
Prepare and hand out cleaning equipment to staff as needed.
Oversee daily Housekeeping Manager operations.
Hand out cleaning equipment chemicals and plastic bags daily.
Supervise and monitor the daily cleaning of all areas in Residence (Standard Operating Procedures).
Arrange for casual staff where needed.
Communicate the information to the Service Manager.
Communicate daily with staff on work-related issues.
Do weekly inspections in all areas of Residence and inform the Service Manager of the findings during her inspection.
Assist with toilet paper and hand paper towels on Mondays Wednesday and Fridays.
Any special cleaning must be reported to the Service Manager to arrange who will be responsible for the cleaning.
Report on any staff-related issues to her office.
Report on Maintenance issues to Service Manager.
Stand in Housekeeping Manager report to Housekeeping Manager on duty
Manage and administer extra hygiene and deep cleaning tasks in appointed cluster.
Supervise staff daily and report back to Housekeeping Manager.
Attend weekly meetings with the housekeeping manager.
Report maintenance issues of Day Residence/On-Campus Residence/Senior Flats to Housekeeping Manager.
Implement corrective actions after inspections audit reports and hygiene swabs.
Manage and administer service delivery in Day Residence/On-Campus Residences/ Senior Flats and ensure high standards of hygiene at all times.
Conduct weekly inspections in Day Residence/On-Campus Residences/ Senior Flats.
Report maintenance pest control issues and faulty firefighting equipment in Day Residence/On-Campus Residences/ Senior Flats to Housekeeping Manager.
Conduct inventory count as scheduled and report misuse of furniture to Housekeeping Manager.

Inherent Job Requirements:

Grade 10 on NQF Level 2.
Relevant experience related to the duties and responsibilities.

Recommendations:

Minimum of two (2) years experience in a colour code cleaning system.
Colour coding cleaning system certificate.

Salary:
The annual remuneration package including benefits is R122 167.78 per annum.
