Job Description

Our client is a top-notch bank who is looking for a qualified candidate to join their firm.

  1. Oversee and execute business strategies for corporate clients within the assigned region ensuring business units achieve performance goals aligned with the Banks strategic objectives.

1.1. Conduct market analysis and enhance brand visibility

  • Carry out market assessments in the designated areas to inform business development and expansion plans for units within the region.

  • Collaborate with Corporate Banking Marketing & Communications and relevant departments to implement branding and promotional activities.

  • Build and nurture partnerships with local authorities and strategic stakeholders.

  • Increase market share and product/service usage rate among customers in the assigned area.

1.2. Develop and implement business plans

  • Establish business objectives and implementation strategies for the Region based on overarching Bank goals.

  • Communicate and deploy business plans of the Corporate Banking Division and the Region to all business units under the Region s management.

  • Monitor performance against targets and take timely actions to address gaps and drive outcomes.

  • Lead efforts to attract engage and retain clients fostering long-term and reputable relationships.

  • Provide strategic support to business units in connecting with high-value or key clients.

  • Coordinate resources to implement strategic directions programs and plans of the Corporate Banking Division with customers in value chains and ecosystems.

  • Manage operating expenses within the region to ensure cost-efficiency.

  • Report the implementation status and results of the Region s business and budget plans periodically or as requested.

  • Be accountable for the Region s overall business success and profitability.

1.3 Ensure quality of services delivered to customers

  • Lead service quality initiatives to improve client satisfaction and ensure standard adherence.

  • Guarantee the delivery of financial products and services meets regulatory and internal service standards.

  • Assist in executing customer engagement and promotional programs when needed.

  1. Manage compliance and risk control for business units under the Region

  • Ensure business practices conform with laws internal regulations and service standards. Identify and address operational or financial risks proactively.

  • Guide customer engagement based on the Banks risk appetite and lending policies.

  • Participate in credit evaluations for major lending decisions as required.

  • Review and approve credit proposals within delegated authority while ensuring compliance.

  • Monitor loan portfolio quality in line with credit risk policies. Work with relevant teams to manage exposure.

  • Coordinate with Internal Audit Risk Legal & Compliance in conducting compliance checks in the Region and its business units periodically or when irregularities are suspected.

  • Coordinate with Debt Recovery and relevant departments in resolving problem loans.

  1. Contribute to shaping and executing corporate banking strategies

  • Advise senior management on strategy formulation and planning for the corporate segment within the Region.

  • Participate in budget/target/cost allocation and management for the Region and its business units.

  • Support the development and refinement of business programs policies and product offerings tailored to local market needs.

  1. Support operational excellence and branch network expansion

  • Approve operational costs in line with internal financial policies and legal standards.

  • Coordinate with the Operations Division to ensure safe cash handling at business units under the Region.

  • Assist in formulating and executing branch expansion strategies.

  • Recommend infrastructure improvements to maintain brand consistency and meet legal requirements.

  • Evaluate infrastructure and asset use at business units to ensure safety and efficiency.

  1. Lead talent acquisition and workforce development

  • Plan recruitment based on approved headcount and growth strategy. Participate in hiring activities per policy.

  • Recommend personnel actions (hiring promotions transfers terminations compensation etc.) as per internal guidelines.

  • Optimize staffing arrangements to enhance productivity.

  • Participate in training and capability development for the regional team.

  • Develop and implement succession planning to ensure continuity of leadership.

  1. Promote organizational culture and values

  • Foster a proactive engaged and professional workplace culture.

  • Implement cultural initiatives in line with the Bank s orientation.

  • Ensure employees understand and embody the organizations core principles and behavioral standards.

  1. Coordinate external engagement and regulatory reporting as required.

  2. Oversee preparation of scheduled and unscheduled reports in line with Bank and legal requirements.

  3. Responsible for KPIs related to business results operations compliance and HR in the Region.


Requirements

  1. Education: A Bachelors degree or higher in Finance Banking Economics International Trade or Business Administration.

  2. Work Experience

  • Minimum 10 years in banking/finance including at least 1 year in a similar Regional Director position or 5 years in business management for corporate clients.

  • Extensive experience in business operations especially in sales service quality improvement and team development.

  1. Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of economic and financial systems banking operations and market dynamics.

  • In-depth knowledge of competitors and client behaviors in the local market.

  • Expertise in banking products and services tailored to corporate customer segments.

  • Strong grasp of compliance credit procedures and legal frameworks.

  • Familiarity with credit assessment and risk mitigation techniques.

  • Proficient in business English.
