You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailOur client is a leading company specialized in footwear who is looking for a qualified candidate to join their firm.
Develop and lead a competitive pricing strategy for materials ensuring effective and streamlined costing procedures in partnership with Development Commercial Material teams internal Costing and Tier-2 suppliers.
Drive cross-functional implementation of material costing initiatives that align with company goals.
Operational & Task Management:
Oversee pricing operations for upper materials ensuring alignment with each brand s timelines and profitability expectations.
Collaborate closely with internal departments (design development dev-com material costing) to support value-driven decision-making across all footwear projects.
Gather and assess market trends and production cost data for raw materials; evaluate Tier-2 supplier pricing structures and level-of-processing (LOP) costs.
Validate supplier cost breakdowns and lead pricing negotiations with T2 suppliers each season to ensure optimal pricing on materials and processing fees.
Partner with the Material and Costing teams to support broader margin objectives of the business.
Build effective working relationships with supplier partners define KPIs and lead improvement initiatives in coordination with Development and Material teams.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
Provide leadership and guidance to the Material Costing team by category.
Set clear objectives and key results (OKRs) by brand; track and evaluate performance in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Foster strong alignment and teamwork with the Shoes Costing function to ensure cohesive execution of costing strategies.
Bachelors degree or higher preferably in a related discipline.
At least 8 years of experience in the footwear sector with a focus on costing or manufacturing.
Prior exposure to product lifecycle management systems (PLM) is highly desirable.
Proficient in English (spoken and written).
Strong negotiation abilities and proven success in cost management roles.
Solid knowledge of footwear materials and pricing frameworks.
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools especially Excel at an advanced level.
High ethical standards and professionalism.
Ability to deliver results under pressure and to deadlines.
Demonstrated leadership aligned with the organization s values: inclusion collaboration accountability innovation and impact.
