JOB TITLE: Propulsion Engineer L6
LOCATION: New Orleans LA (supports supplier in Buffalo NY)
PAY RATE: Up to $180/hour
We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary:
-
Provide program management support engineering leadership and supplier technical oversight to ensure hardware meets contractual requirements.
-
Collaborate with technical leads and suppliers on space and/or launch vehicle systems projects.
-
Lead engineering disciplines such as Systems Structural Mechanical/Aerospace Avionics Electrical Propulsion Test Manufacturing and Quality Engineering.
-
Manage supplier relationships cost accounts and risk/opportunity assessments.
Requirements:
-
Bachelors in Engineering Computer Science Math Physics or Chemistry (ABET-accredited)
-
20 years supplier management/technical leadership (or equivalent Masters/PhD experience)
-
Executive-level and technical team leadership experience
-
Cost account management expertise
-
Risk and opportunity management
-
Independent and assertive in team/client settings
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Desired Skills:
-
Lean manufacturing/continuous improvement experience
-
Background in space/launch vehicle systems
-
Expertise in one or more: Systems Structural Mechanical/Aerospace Avionics Electrical Propulsion/Flight Test Manufacturing Quality Liaison Materials Processes & Physics Engineering
