JOB TITLE: Engineering Design Checker - DEFENSE
LOCATION: Grand Prairie TX
PAY RATE: $79.52/hour
We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary:
-
Perform the Design and Documentation Checking function for mechanical electrical and electronic packaging engineering drawings and specifications.

Verify format specification compliance completeness accuracy design soundness ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards ASME Y-series Drawing and Documentation standards fabrication/producibility assembly/installation validity tolerance analysis BOM verification and configuration control.

Review engineering drawings and specifications for compliance accuracy and design integrity
-
Perform tolerance analysis and ensure adherence to ASME Y14.5 GD&T and ASME Y-series standards

Verify BOM accuracy and configuration data
-
Review and process change requests and notifications
-
Validate fabrication producibility assembly and installation requirements
-
Perform model-based definition and model checking
-
Utilize Windchill for documentation and configuration management
Requirements:
-
Active Secret clearance (with 5-year background investigation)
-
Bachelors degree with 8 10 years experience Masters with 6 8 years or 15 20 years relevant experience in lieu of degree
-
5 years in Mechanical and/or Electronic Packaging Design and/or Design Checking
-
8 years with ASME Y-series standards
-
Proficiency in Windchill tolerance analysis GD&T electro/mechanical design and model checking
-
Experience with BOM verification configuration management and change control
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
