Job Description

RN- Intensive Care Unit Float (Permanent Role)

Location: Dallas TX 75246
Shift: 12-hr Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver expert nursing care addressing the emotional and physical needs of patients and their families.
  • Develop implement and adjust individualized care plans based on patient needs and clinical guidelines.
  • Create and maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients families and team members.
  • Promote healing by alleviating suffering and supporting the holistic needs of patients.
  • Advocate for diversity and inclusivity in patient care planning.
  • Educate patients families and staff regularly assessing and documenting learning progress.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately while maintaining accountability.
  • Use critical thinking and available resources effectively to solve problems.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development and engage in community service initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience required.
  • Current RN license in the state of Texas.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire (if not already certified).
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices standards and regulations.
  • Understanding of health promotion disease prevention and care management principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid critical thinking problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with general computer systems and electronic medical records (EMR).
