The Role
As an IT Security Specialist you will be instrumental in enabling the planning coordination and implementation of an organizations information security. You will identify current security infrastructure define future program requirements and design/implement security-related IT systems. A core responsibility is ensuring systems provide high data security and user compartmentalization due to the sensitive nature of information. You will also support the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in maintaining appropriate operational Cybersecurity posture managing security aspects of information systems and developing system security policies. Depending on your experience level responsibilities may also include managing and controlling system changes assessing security impact providing configuration management supporting information assurance programs and planning/coordinating/implementing IT security programs and policies. These positions are 100% onsite in Annapolis Junction MD.

What Youll Bring
For IT Security Specialist 2:
- Technical BS in and ten (10) years of related work experience in security authorization is required.
For IT Security Specialist 3:
- Technical BS in and twelve (12) years of related work experience in security authorization is required.

- Security Expertise: Strong experience with current security tools hardware/software security implementation communication protocols encryption techniques commercial security products security authorization security incident management PKI and authorization services.
- Cybersecurity Operations & Policy: Provide comprehensive support to the ISSM in maintaining operational cybersecurity posture for systems and programs. This includes assisting with security management developing and ensuring compliance with system security policies and managing system changes security impact assessments and configuration management for security-relevant components.
- Program & Mission Support: Support the Government on all security-related matters and contribute to the planning coordination and implementation of IT security programs and policies as well as broader information assurance initiatives.

Clearance Requirements
Active TS/SCI with a polygraph is strictly required. You must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.
