Solution IT Inc. is looking for a IT Applications Analyst Power Trading (Excel/SQL) for one of its clients in Houston TX 77056
Job Title: IT Applications Analyst Power Trading (Excel/SQL)
Summary:
In this role the analyst will be pivotal in providing direct IT development and support for our clients wholesale power and congestion trading operations. This role will involve daily collaboration with the IT lead and will actively support databases calculations and associated data integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Front Office (Traders) with data management quantitative analysis and application development.
- Work with PJM New York and/or Northeast power markets (knowledge preferred).
- Manage relational & non-relational databases; develop complex logic in schemas.
- Create/enhance standard & custom reports and workflows.
- Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with corporate policies.
Required Skills:
- Advanced Excel (tables pivots statistical functions VBA).
- SQL Server and database architecture.
- Experience with large datasets.
- Time series or pricing models.
- ETRM systems (plus).
- Congestion trading / Financial Transmission Rights (plus).
- R language (plus).
- Python (plus).
- Bachelors degree or 5 years relevant experience.

Duration: 1 Year
