Under the direction of a Physical Therapist aPhysical Therapist Assistantwill be responsible for determiningappropriate patient goals anddevelops treatment plan. You will modify treatment plan as needed andutilizes appropriate treatment techniques. The position is primarily to serve our orthopedic patients and some neurologically impaired patients. Aquatic therapy is provided by this PTA two afternoons per week. Therapist can be trained in aquatic therapy and mut must have interest in working with pool patients. A strong sports rehab background is beneficial.
Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
- Associate of Science Degree(Physical Therapy Assistant) from an accredited program is required
- Must have a validIndiana Physical Therapy Assistant licenseortemporary permit
- Previous PTA experience in an Acute care hospitalsetting
- Must beknowledgeableinanatomy/physiologyandtherapy theoretical concepts and techniques current materials and technological advances and new professional trends.
- You willeffectivelyprovidequality serviceto impaired individuals and communicate effectively with staff peers patients families physicians and all internal/external customers.
- Anabilityto incorporate a basic understanding of the behaviors developmental needs physical needs emotional needs and comfort of theadult patient will help.
- Also youmust be abletolift/transfer patientsandtreatment supply itemswithout restriction.
