Job Description
THIS IS A SEASONAL POSITION ONLY FROM NOV 15 2024 - JAN 31 2025
The Retail Sales Associate delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers fax machines binding equipment laminating machines and point-of-sale devices. The associate advises our valued clients by providing accurate information on our products services and best-value options and exhibits excellent customer care! The ideal candidate must be able to lift 45 pounds when needed.
The Ideal Candidate has previous retail experience continued work history strong computer and internet skills a high school diploma or GED a friendly and genuinely helpful attitude and a professional appearance.
Responsibilities
- Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries.
- Continuously practices good listening skills with customers UPS Store team members and leadership.
- Takes ownership of the customers shipping needs and offers viable solutions.
- Takes action to learn all product and service offerings alternative solutions and industry trends.
- Operates all equipment software and devices expertly and is willing to teach others.
- Maintains a clean organized and safe working environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Details
- The store is open seven (7) days per week; weekends are required.
- 3-5 day work week including weekends and afternoons 15-25 hours per week.
- $14.00/hr with a 90-day probationary period.
- Weekly and monthly bonus if specific goals are achieved.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Retail/customer service experience.
- Good communication and people skills.
- Able to cross-sell and up-sell products and services.
- Excellent packing skills.
- Excellent multi-tasking abilities.
- On-time attendance is required and strongly enforced.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites.
- Outstanding phone etiquette.
- Dependable and strong work history.
- Able to lift 45 pounds.
