Key Components:
This position is reserved for Federal Work Study (FWS) students only. This position is ideal for students interested in technical theatre engineering construction or event production. You will get practical experience in a live theater setting.
- In a student employee capacity may assist in working with external community service partners.
- Assist in setting up lighting sound and stage equipment for production.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of technical gear.
- Working on screen / LED backdrop (QLab) technology.
- Collaborate with the technical director(s) to ensure smooth production.
- Help with stage design and construction of sets and props as needed.
- Help with organization and cleanup of materials and theatre space.
- Support during live performances is needed to manage technical aspects.

- May assist with planning organizing and implementing community services or programs
- May assist with various projects activities or tasks related to community projects
- May contribute to developing and maintaining good relationships with internal and external partners
- May serve as a source to provide information about resources and assistance related to community program(s) or service(s)
- May serve to enhance outreach for the greater Waco community
- Ensure confidentiality of all pertinent information
- May prepare and present information in a group or workshop setting
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylors mission
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
Required Hard / Specialized Skills:
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn carpentry/ using hand tools like drills hammers saws etc.
- Painting and Scenic Work: experience painting sets and/or crafting props
- Stage Crew Experience: basic knowledge of backstage work
- Lighting Basics: Familiarity with or willingness to learn hanging and adjusting lights
