Job Description
Overview
Shift: Part-Time 11p-7a 24 hours/week
As a member of the interdisciplinary team contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to adult mental health patients and their families. Maintains a practice environment that reflects the ANA Code for Nurses Philosophy of Nursing at UnityPoint Health with in the structure of the Professional Nurse Practice Model and in collaboration with other care givers. Maintains a safe therapeutic milieu and utilizes therapeutic communication skills that facilitate patient and family recovery from mental health crises.

Responsibilities
- PCT performs patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including but not limited to activities of daily living mobility specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.
- Possess the ability to lift move position and transport patients.
- Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
- Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care patient and employee safety and customer service.
Qualifications
License(s)/Certification(s):
- Valid drivers license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons
Experience:
- Comprehensive on-the-job training provided no prior experience necessary
