Job Description

Hourly Pay Range:

$38.67 - $59.94 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidates expertise and years of experience among other factors.

Position Highlights:
  • Position: Practice Manager II RN - Medical Group
  • Location: Rolling Meadows Palatine IL
  • Full time/Part time: Full Time 40 hours/week
  • Hours: Day shift Monday-Friday

What you will do:

  • Oversees the daily operations of the assigned site(s) including the management of reception functions- scheduling patient appointments facilitating the referral process insurance verification medical records administration and compliance with all billing protocols. Oversight of all clinical staff related activities in conjunction with Clinical Supervisor ( if applicable) and Physicians. Determines staffing levels based on patient care needs patient flow procedures scheduled staff skills mix clinic needs customer satisfaction and productivity benchmarks. Develops a staffing schedule for provision of care within the budget established for the practice.
  • Achieves quality patient outcomes by managing day-to-day care coordination and clinical management activities. Models and facilitates collaboration among the interdisciplinary team i.e. physician therapies clinical nurse specialists utilization coordinators and other departments. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to identify and resolve issues that impact team performance and the delivery of patient care services. Communicates and collaborates with others to provide continuous smooth transition of care and day-to-day operations. Coordinates patient plan of care based on area of service and role expectations to assure interventions are consistent safe timely and appropriate. Assesses continuity of care and evaluates coordination of interventions by the interdisciplinary team to ensure consistency and compliance within the plan of care recommendations.
  • Develops and demonstrates expertise with the EMR conjunction with the Physicians develops and optimizes physician templates for appropriate patient scheduling. Coordinates effective use of the building and rooms for maximum patient throughput. Monitors and manages telephone systems and staff response times. Completes monthly operational dashboard for identification and execution of operational improvements. Supports and executes policies and procedures.
  • Establishes strong leadership and credibility at the site(s) by modeling behaviors that demonstrate service excellence to build a partnership between staff physicians patients and their families and ancillary NCH departments. Facilitates cooperative working relations ship between site staff Physicians all other Medical Group and ancillary Northwest Community Healthcare departments. Collaborates with the Director Physicians and site staff using open dialogue to identify and resolve customer service issues and complaints through the use of appropriate communication techniques. Responsible for optimizing staff roles and productivity to meet all site performance expectations and patient experience goals.
  • Interacts with and contributes to professional development of peers and other health care providers as colleagues. Shares knowledge and provides feedback to contribute to an environment supportive of clinical education. Assigns or delegates tasks as defined by State Practice Act according to knowledge and skills of designated caregiver. Collaborates with physicians care management and interdisciplinary team using open dialogue for the provision of patient care.

What you will need:

  • Successful completion of an Associates degree diploma or BSN from an accredited school of nursing. The level of knowledge normally obtained through the completion of a Bachelors degree in a business-related or health administration field. Bachelors degree in business or healthcare administration strongly preferred.
  • Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years recent staff nurse experience preferably in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting.
  • Minimum of 3years recent experience required working in a physicians office or healthcare /managed care related operations or similar environment with an emphasis on operational oversight of registration processes reimbursement and customer service preferably at a management level.
  • Minimum 1 year recent management experience with emphasis on Healthcare.
  • Knowledge of managed care models financial reimbursement systems clinical case management processes and utilization management issues required.
  • Proficiency using a personal computer to create and manage documents reports and presentations in Microsoft Word Excel and Power point is required
