The Opportunity:
Avantor a Global Fortune 500 company is looking for a dedicated Senior Package Operator for our Performance Materials organization.
This Paris KY role is full-time on-site; Monday through Thursday 6:00 AM- 4:30 PM occasional overtime on Friday.
Who you are:
Minimum Education Requirement:
- Highschool/ GED
Required Experience (1 yr):
- Operating semi-automated and automated manufacturing equipment.
- Weighing measuring blending and checking liquid and chemical raw materials to assure batches manufactured contain proper materials and quantities.
- Maintaining proper production records to comply with requirements (ISO 9001:2000 SOPs and Work Instructions).
- Using safety and environmental control systems including dust collection and scrubbing devices to ensure proper operation including cleaning and upkeep.
- Maintaining equipment and rooms in proper operating condition by following daily cleaning requirements.
- Performing activities in a controlled environment while assuring the use of appropriate PPE equipment.
- Performing in-process testing to assure batches meet specifications.
- Providing team leadership and exemplary work ethics.
- In a cGMP manufacturing environment.
- Collaboration skills (Microsoft Office; SAP).
- With semi-automated and/or automated equipment.
- Evaluating internal customer needs and responding with appropriate action/delivery.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Experience:
- Performing manufacturing and assembly of products in accordance with written production records while observing appropriate safety guidelines.
- An understanding of advance chemical processes from start to finish.
- Operating material monitoring devices including pH systems refractometers and weighing systems including calibration cleaning and upkeep.
- Training associates
- Evaluating progress on operation equipment and chemical processes including safety procedures and proper handling of materials.

Delivering results against complex business and technology initiatives the reliable/ detail-oriented Senior Package Operator will:
- Assist with production scheduling.
- Review and recommend changes to technical documentation including batch records WIs and SOPs.
ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT
Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts fumes airborne particles dust or gases. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Required to stand and walk for a large part of the working day. Physical requirements include talking hearing bending/stooping squatting reaching above shoulder height crouching kneeling balancing and pushing/pulling. Also requires some lifting/carrying/pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds with or without assistance. Use of both hands for repetitive actions such as grasping and manipulating. Specific vision abilities include close vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
