Bachelors degree in nursing or a related health professions field and five (5) years of related experience

Job Description:
To accomplish the strategic goals of UAB Medicine working as a professional within the Department of
Interprofessional Practice and Training (DIPT). To influence the culture of excellence throughout the
organization by engaging in education quality evidence-based practice scholarly activities regulatory
affairs and research. To positively impact and advance practice quality metrics and patient outcomes.
To evaluate competency training and education needs for the organization. Program development as well
as implementation and evaluation of Age-Friendly initiatives and oversight for population-based programs.
Serves as a coach/consultant to healthcare staff to advance Age-Friendly initiatives
Key Responsibilities:
1.Recruits and sources ancillary employees who desire to pursue career advancement to a Nursing
based licensed profession (LPN and/or RN).
2. Designs implements and evaluates programmatic pathways for UAB employees to attain Nursing
licensure.
3. Serves as a role model facilitator educator researcher collaborator change agent and consultant
to ensure educational pathways are effective in graduating UAB employees as Nursing licensed
professionals.
4. Tracks individual progress of each RN licensure candidate5. Tracks program cost on both an individual and programmatic level.
6. Presents recruitment initiatives and results to Executive level Management.
7. Oversees program development including budget future grant funds management preparation of
invoices oversight of outside user fees including collection and processing.
8. Disseminates information regarding activities both internally and externally.
9. Participates in developing and presenting quality improvement initiatives for the Health System to
address specific needs.
10. Disseminates information regarding activities both internally and externally.
11. Engages with community partners to expand Nursing (or other clinical area) recruitment and training
Initiatives.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
