Job Description
Position Summary
Career Readiness Learning Objectives : 1. Critical Thinking: Multi-task well in a fast-paced autonomous environment. The student worker will be required at times to troubleshoot issues in the lab. 2. Professionalism: Prioritize and complete tasks to accomplish organizational goals. Student workers will be provided a task list by the student hiring manager and will need to complete all tasks in a timely manner. The CIS Lab tech provides technical support and guidance to users in a computer lab environment. They assist with workstation setup troubleshoot software and hardware issues and ensure a smooth user experience. Additionally they help maintain lab equipment enforce lab policies and create an environment conducive to learning and productivity. The role requires strong communication skills patience and a good understanding of computer systems. The Computer Lab Assistant plays a crucial part in facilitating efficient and effective utilization of the labs resources by students faculty and staff.
Physical Demands
some lifting of the computers is required.
Required Qualifications
Must be a in one of the CIS majors.
Preferred Qualifications
Junior or higher level is preferred.
