We are one of the five Schools within UNSW Medicine and Health and we are a leader in public health health leadership and management and health systems strengthening. The Schools mission is to promote health prevent disease and to strengthen health systems and is at the forefront of research and education. It offers a broad array of post graduate course work Masters programs as well supporting post graduate research degrees and is situated in the Universitys new Health Translation Hub at our Kensington campus.
Why this role matters
The Research Fellow (Level B) will be expected to carry out independent and/or team research to improve health services access and delivery across the continuum of care living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
The role involves advancing research expertise in complex healthcare including the National Disability Insurance Scheme and My Aged Care with a particular focus on current models of MND care coordination. This includes examining the scope of practice barriers and facilitators influencing the effectiveness of the role as well as applying qualitative and co-design methodologies to design a MND care coordinator model tailored to the Australian health system context.
