Job Description
UCHealth Memorial is looking to add 1 Locum provider to cover 1-2 long weekends per month (preferably Thursday through Monday 7a to 7a)!
- As soon as credentialed - ongoing
- 24 hour coverage 7a-7a
- Facility prefers Thursday through Monday 7a to 7a but will accept a provider who can work Friday through Monday 7a to 7a.
- Hospital based
- Reason for coverage: change in staffing and building out provider pool
- Level 1 trauma
- Over 100000 annual ER volume
- EMR: Epic
- 12 ORs
- 6 Neurosurgeons in practice
- Patient demographic: 17 and above
- Adult and trauma Neurosurgery cases tumor removal brain bleed stoppage trauma repair shunt insertion or revision cranial burr holes intracranial pressure monitor or insertion of intracranial hemorrhage traumatic brain injury neurocritical conditions ventricular taps ventriculoperitoneal shunt/taps/reprogramming ventriculostomydiskectomy laminectomy spinal fusion spine stabilization and reconstruction placement of arterial and venous access administration of vasoactive or sedating substances lumbar puncture placement of lumbar drains CSF sampling from shunts or external ventricular drains EEG interpretation management and interpretation of ICP and CCP data external ventricular drain management application and management of hypothermia
- 90 day credentialing timeframe
Travel Reimbursement:
- Must send provider flights and lodging info 4 weeks before start.
- Flights - Up to $750 RT cap
- Lodging - Reimbursed by Receipt - $150/night before taxes and fees
- Car rental - Reimbursed by Receipt - up to an economy car cap.
- Mileage - IRS Standard Rate.
- Malpractice (must be included in the rates)
- 24 Hour On Call ($4500 rate cap)
- 24 Hour On Call Holiday

- Holiday Call Back
- Conversion Fee ($25k rate cap)
Requirement description :
- Board Certified - Required
- Active CO license - Required
- Must be able to provide weekend coverage as stated in job description - Required
- BLS ACLS ATLS - Required
- COVID vaccine - Required note at time of name clear
- Fellowship - Preferred but not Required
- No malpractice - HIGHLY PREFERRED
