Job Description
- Decontaminate clean inspect assemble and sterilize surgical instruments trays and equipment.
- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment including autoclaves washers and ultrasonic cleaners.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols infection control standards and manufacturer instructions.
- Conduct quality checks on instrument trays and surgical sets for accuracy and cleanliness.
- Prepare surgical case carts and deliver them to appropriate areas.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of sterile supplies and instruments.
- Follow proper storage procedures for sterile and non-sterile equipment.
- Adhere to safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Participate in on-call rotation weekend shifts and holiday coverage as required.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in Sterile Processing or Central Processing Department (CPD). Previous travel experience preferred.
- Certification:
- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST CBSPD or equivalent) required
- Preferred:
- Previous travel/contract experience
