Job Description
Job Title: ETL /IICS Architect
Location: Wood Dale IL (Onsite )
Duration: Long term contract
Experience Level: 12 Years
Responsibilities:
- Design and architect scalable and high-performance data integration solutions using Informatica IICS.
- Develop and implement ETL/ELT processes to extract transform and load data from diverse data sources including on-premises systems cloud platforms and SaaS applications.
- Define data integration patterns standards and best practices to ensure consistency efficiency and maintainability.
- Lead the development of IICS mappings workflows and tasks ensuring adherence to design specifications and coding standards.
- Optimize IICS processes for performance reliability and scalability.
- Implement data quality measures including data profiling cleansing and validation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Design and develop APIs and integrations to support real-time data exchange and application integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts data engineers and application developers to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to IICS developers mentoring them on best practices and IICS methodologies.
- Evaluate new IICS features and functionality and recommend solutions to improve data integration capabilities.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including data flow diagrams design specifications and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data integration issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in data integration and ETL development.
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) including Cloud Data Integration (CDI) Cloud Application Integration (CAI) and Data Quality.
- Expertise in designing and developing complex ETL/ELT processes using Informatica IICS.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts data modeling techniques and database technologies (e.g. Oracle SQL Server Snowflake Redshift).
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database query optimization.
- Experience with API integration including REST and SOAP services.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of data quality principles and best practices.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience leading and mentoring technical teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Informatica certifications.
- Experience with other data integration tools and technologies.
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and data management best practices.
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI).
