Qualifications:

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution of higher education

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Masters Degree from an accredited institution of higher education;

Collegiate or Professional Basketball playing experience.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruit and evaluate prospective student-athletes;

Coordinate on-court workouts and team practices;

Assist in budget preparation and administration;

Coordinate team travel arrangements;

Monitor academic progress towards degree;

Assist head coach in practice and game preparation;

Assist in daily workouts with individual players;

Supervise study hall and perform class checks;

Scout assigned opponents;

Compliance with all NCAA conference and institutional rules;

Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of NCAA Ohio Valley Conference and university rules and regulations;

Ability to work nights and weekends;

Ability to travel extensively within the region and nationally for recruitment purposes;

Knowledge of budgeting processes;

Ability to interact in a professional manner with people and present a positive image of the university;

Ability to drive and operate a motor vehicle;

Must have the ability to rent a vehicle while on recruitment trips.
