We are seeking skilled and dependable individuals to serve as Maintenance Repairer 2. This position provides hands-on support for the upkeep repair and safety of juvenile justice facilities. Working on an as-needed basis the Maintenance Repairer 2 performs a variety of tasks to ensure that buildings equipment and systems remain in good working condition to support a secure and rehabilitative environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience or training in the building construction trades building maintenance maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment or as a parks building and grounds attendant; OR
Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction construction technology or engineering; OR
Twelve semester hours in construction management construction technology or engineering or any combination of these courses.Job Specification

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Perform general maintenance and repairs on facility structures systems and equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plumbing electrical HVAC carpentry and mechanical systems
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks
Assist with emergency repairs and facility readiness during critical incidents
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Follow safety protocols and agency guidelines for secure facility operations

Work Location: This vacancy is located at the Swanson Center for Youth in Monroe Louisiana.
Appointment Type: This is a part-time/WAE position.
