While we are best known for our restaurant operations we also manage a diversified investment portfolio to support our strategic growth and innovation. We are seeking a highly organized detail-oriented and analytical Portfolio & Trading Assistant to support our investment management and trading operations.
Position Summary
The Portfolio & Trading Assistant will work directly with the Investment & Finance Team to assist in monitoring investment portfolios executing trades preparing reports and maintaining compliance with company policies. This role requires precision discretion and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment. The position is fully remote but candidates must reside within the United States and possess a valid government-issued ID for verification and compliance purposes.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management Support
Assist in monitoring daily performance of company investment portfolios across various asset classes (equities bonds ETFs commodities etc.)
Prepare daily weekly and monthly investment performance reports for management review
Track dividends interest payments and capital gains to ensure accurate accounting and reporting
Research market trends economic news and investment opportunities to support decision-making
Trading Operations
Execute buy/sell orders under the direction of the Portfolio Manager while ensuring compliance with company guidelines
Maintain accurate records of all executed trades and reconcile transactions with custodians/brokerage accounts
Monitor market movements and alert the Investment Team of relevant opportunities or risks
Assist in managing order flow and trade settlements
Administrative & Compliance Duties
Maintain organized documentation for all investment-related activities
Ensure adherence to internal policies compliance standards and applicable U.S. regulations
Coordinate with brokers custodians and financial institutions for operational and administrative matters
Assist in preparing materials for quarterly board/investment committee meetings
Qualifications & Requirements
Required
Must reside in the United States
Must possess a valid U.S. government-issued ID (Drivers License State ID or Passport)
Associates degree or higher in Finance Economics Accounting Business Administration or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong understanding of investment products and financial markets
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Word and portfolio/trading software platforms
Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion
Preferred
1 years of experience in a trading desk portfolio management or investment operations role
Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal Morningstar Direct or similar tools
FINRA Series 7 or 63 license (a plus but not required)
Work Environment & Schedule
Fully remote position with flexible working hours but availability during core U.S. market hours (9:30 AM 4:00 PM EST) is required
May require occasional virtual meetings outside normal market hours to accommodate reporting deadlines or urgent matters.
