Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant (MA) provides support to physicians and other healthcare professionals by performing clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient care delivery. The MA works closely with patients handling both front- and back-office functions in a fast-paced medical setting. The Medical Assistant functions under the direction of the Nurse Supervisor and/or Practice/Office Manager. Key responsibilities of the role include gathering and recording vital signs and other pertinent patient information for the visit preparing patients for exams assisting during treatments coordinating tests and follow-up care and recording treatment in the medical record. The MA recognizes patients needs and symptoms in advance and responds appropriately always keeping patient safety and the patient experience at the center of care delivery. The MA demonstrates competency and skills to serve patients of all ages. Performs other duties as necessary related to front office tasks and registration laboratory and x-ray testing.

Required Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma General or GED General or Other / Certificate Medical Assisting
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):

- BLS - Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
Additional License(s) and Certification(s):
